A highly talented orthopaedic surgeon; Demonstrates himself as a true professional, with such attention to detail. I can’t really add any more than what's already been said in the reviews, but what I will say is; I suffered for more than ten years with a hip injury with a young family, I couldn't put on a pair of trousers without experiencing excruciating pain, nor could I sleep a full night; felt constantly tired, utterly worn out, and at my wits end. Two days after my full hip replacement at the Queens Alexander hospital (who were absolutely first class in their care) I was at home grinning like a Cheshire cat. Within three weeks I was walking without crutches, and I was pretty much back to my routine, I stuck to the rule book and took it easy. After seven weeks from the operation I feel absolutely fantastic! I stand taller, lost weight, sleep like a baby; best of all I have my life back, thanks to you Mr Kane.

I had a hip replacement undertaken by Mr Kane in September. I was recommended to see him and I am so pleased that I followed up on that advice! From the moment I met Mr Kane I knew I was going to be in safe hands. He examined me with care and really listened to how I was feeling and what I wanted to achieve post operation. He told me what he would do, how it was done, what to expect both pre and post operation and the longer term. Everything he told me happened. I saw Mr Kane recently for a check up. The consultation, as before the operation, was undertaken in an unhurried, friendly manner. I cannot thank him enough for all his care and would, without any hesitation, recommend him to others who need their hips replacing. He is one of the greatest doctors that I have ever come across.

I was given a hip replacement operation by mr Kane recently, the care and attention I received both from him and his excellent team was next to none. Because of the information and advice given, l knew exactly what to expect both before and after the operation. After care was brilliant, and even at my follow up appointment I was given great advice on how to continue with the care of my new hip. I would not hesitate to recommend mr Kane, he is an excellent doctor.

I had a full hip replacement two months ago and can echo all the comments in the previous reviews. I was an NHS patient and I found Mr Kane very professional, friendly and happy to answer any questions in our pre-operation meeting. The operation was carried out on the day specified at the Spire Hospital and has been completely successful. Mr Kane visited me whilst I was in hospital and again, came across as being very professional in the recent post-op follow-up. I would like to thank Mr Kane and the staff at Spire for the excellent care I received a great credit to all concerned and to the NHS in general.

I accompanied my father to the consultation with Mr Kane regarding a replacement hip. Mr Kane was very thorough in his examination and explanation into the advantages and disadvantages of the hip replacement surgery. He answered a variety of questions posed by my father and myself to our full satisfaction and on completion was able to book a date for the operation. The operation was carried out on the date given followed by a four day hospital stay. Mr Kane visited my father personally on at least two occassions during the evening to check on his progress. The operation has made a vast improvement to my father's quality of life. I would like to thank Mr Kane and all the staff at the Spire Hospital for their excellent care.
